We logged our training regiment below so others can track our progress.
As an note of interest, we thought we'd list the various injuries we've dealt with in over 200 hours of training: 7 blisters, 7 cases of tendonitis (arches, ankles, knees), 5 pulled muscles, 4 dead or dying toenails, 2 shin splints, 1 sunburn and untold numbers of aches and pains. Has it been worth it? Of course.

We have a number of training routes mapped out from our home in Redwood Shores. They are, in order of difficulty:
Dog Wok - to dog park and back - 1 mile (+ approx .5 mile for finishing via bay trail loop)
Jamba Walk - to Jamba Juice and back - 4.0 miles (+ approx .75 mile for each direction taken on bay trail rather than Redwood Shores Parkway)
King Cruise - to Burger King and back - 5.0 miles (+ approx .75 mile for each direction taken on bay trail)
Hobee's Hike - to Hobee's and back - 5.6 miles (+ .4 miles for each direction taken via Redwood Shores Parkway rather than Ralston Ave.)
6-2-7-11 - to 7-11 and back - 6 miles
