Did you know that 1 in 7 women develops breast cancer in her lifetime? And that in several counties right here in California, it's actually 1 in 5? None of us gets out untouched. This is unacceptable.
The Plan: From July 12 - 14th, 2002, walk from San Jose to San Francisco (60 miles) in 3 days.
The Reason: To raise money to fight breast cancer, a disease affecting millions of women and men today.
The Goal: Raise $5000 and train like heck to be sure we can make it on our own!
The Result: The SF walk had 4,400 people, who raised over 7 million dollars that will be used to detect and research breast cancer. We made it the entire distance and have lots of info to share.
