Where Tony & Rhonda's adventures and hijinks become public!

May 25, 2005

Finished my exam! Tony mailed it in for me this morning. Took FOREVER to finish but I think I did pretty well. The best part is that I'll only have two itty-bitty units to go if I passed.

Tony stayed home sick yesterday but is up and bouncing again today. He's amazing that way. I'm not so lucky -- my sinuses are still full of crud and I only feel good as long as I don't move my head. So Tony propped me up with my laptop on my lap, the phone to my left and the remote on my right, not budging.

Hmm. Come to think of it, all I'd need is a good snack and it would actually be a pretty nice morning.

Tony came home not a second too soon. My ears and throat are sore and feel as though they are full of carpet fuzz. His voice is froggy from yelling over the crowds at E3. We are a mess, figuratively and literally -- but happy to be reunited and content from a weekend of won ton soup and Netflix.

Confession: have now seen Episode III three times. Once at the preview, once on opening day (seriously, how could I miss the opening day festivities? The crowd is almost as much fun as the movie) and once on Saturday morning because Tony missed out on opening day.

Possible news pending about the climbing book, but I'm not counting any chickens yet. I want to, but I'm not. Will update when I know more.

Tony is in LA all week for E3. While he's gone, I'm attempting to be productive by finally taking my Advanced Nutrition exam. I must earn 10 advanced/specialized units every two years to maintain my personal trainer certification; if I pass this test it will count for 8 of them. I figure the other 2 had better be something fun... if I read one more page about enzymes or electron transport or oxidative phosphorylation I will howl.

Wow.

Episode III rocked.

Two more days till the Episode III preview!

EEEEEEEEEE, I'm excited. Not just because we'll get to see the movie. At the reception afterward, there will be a raffle and an auction to win STUFF.

I want STUFF.

Speaking of which, Tony is trying to convince me that tonight is the night to buy our first flatscreen TV. He's probably right, though I'm still having sticker shock. They sure are purty, though...

Triathalon training went poorly this week -- turns out that my asthma is a lot less forgiving than we hoped. Also, bike seats HURT. A lot. So this weekend we're taking it much easier while I breathe and Tony rests his heinie.

Besides, we have to save up our energy for next Thursday. We have charity tickets to an Episode III sneak preview on the 12th. WOO.

Things have been busy in general. My grandmother has the flu, so much of our attention is focused toward Florida; phone calls and care packages are flying eastward daily. (Don't worry, she's feeling better.) Also, Tony has been crazy-busy at work -- what else is new -- but he just hired a new producer so things should be getting better on that front also. WOO.
